EXPOSURE
PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! AVOID ALL CONTACT!
IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
  • INHALATION
  • (see Ingestion).
    Closed system and ventilation.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
  • Redness. Pain.
    Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES
  • Redness. Pain.
Face shield, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
  • Diarrhoea. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Vomiting.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Consult an expert! Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P3 filter respirator for toxic particles).
Separated from food and feedstuffs. See Chemical Dangers. Dry. Keep in the dark. Well closed.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
FINE, WHITE, ODOURLESS CRYSTALLINE POWDER (MONOHYDRATE). LIQUEFIES ON LOSS OF ITS WATER OF CRYSTALLIZATION. TURNS DARK ON EXPOSURE TO LIGHT.

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes including phosphorous oxides and nitrogen oxides.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
    TLV not established.

    ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
Evaporation at 20░C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly when dispersed, especially if powdered.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the blood, bladder, central nervous system and heart.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The substance may have effects on the blood, bladder, lungs and bone marrow , resulting in leucopenia, cystitis, pulmonary fibrosis. This substance is carcinogenic to humans. May cause heritable genetic damage in humans. Does cause serious reproductive toxicity in humans.
